Local dive bar. Its fantastic. Owner is extremely nice. Pool table in back, along with darts. Little hidden room in the back where the regulars go to smoke... in the pitch black. Cash Only. Wouldn't have it any other way.

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner recently. We learned that 6500 recently came under new ownership. We had a chance to talk to one of the new owners, and she was very pleasant. She was also working hard and serving customers while we were there. That was great to see. They also just acquired a new chef by the name of Geoff. He is very nice and interacts with the customers. And he takes the time to explain the food and what he does with it. The menu will be growing in the near future. (As a side note, Geoff also runs the Wicked Urban Grill food truck. If you see the truck while you're out and about, stop and check it out). The current menu is really good. We started out with an appetizer of cheese curds. Yum! I had their fish sandwich and my husband had one of their burgers. The food was excellent. We also had a side of onion strings that were prepared with one of the chef's special seasoning blends. Very tasty. And for desert, we had a dish called Bananas Foster. It contained ice cream with some whiskey added and sliced banana. It was heavenly. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. All of the staff is very nice. We will be back to 6500 again, for sure.

Stopped after work for a bite. Food was great. All handmade, and service was fantastic. Limited menu, but both the burger and chicken were way above average. They also have daily specials and the owners are super nice. Will be back

Chef left so food is back to bar food. Music selection was terrible and waitresses liked darts more then serving.

The 6500 Bar & Grill is under NEW OWNERSHIP and is not remotely close to the comment bellow this one. The food is excellent and is prepared daily with fresh ingredients. I ordered the breaded mushrooms, which are to die for. 6500's classically trained chef, Chef Lamont came out and explained how he prepares these tasty little morsels. The marinade that came with the breaded mushrooms is also prepared fresh daily. Chef Lamont made a point to me that the 6500 Bar & Grill doesn't serve anything out of can which was eviendent in the taste of their food. For my lunch I ordered a cheesebueger, which needleless to say was massive. And again Chef Lamont explained all the patties are hand made! It sat on the beautiful buttered and toasted kaiser that also came with a healthy portion of fries and a pickel. The 6500 Bar and Grill also has a larger variety of beer and spirits too. The atmosphere was inviting. A very clean place with massive flat screens on all the walls. Inconclusion, my experience was awesome and I'll recommend this place to anyone willing to listen. I'll be back!

The bar is comfortable and the staff is friendly. They have bands that regularly play and they tend to get loud but if you get a pool table, you'll have a good time. Check out their selection of drinks and bring a few friends.
